This covers the Suited Fours iPhone app and the game at suitedfours.com. The short version: your hands stay on your phone unless you turn coaching on, we never ask for your name to use the app, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.

What stays on your phone

The app keeps your played and imported hands, drill results, your rating, bankroll, rooms, and settings in the app's own storage on your device. None of it is uploaded unless you use one of the features below. Deleting the app deletes it.

AI coaching (optional)

What gets sent for each hand you play: your cards, the board, every bet, the stakes, the other seats' names and stacks, and any cards shown at showdown. A written read also sends the lessons that fit, and Ask sends the question you type. Your own seat goes as "You".

What never gets sent: your name, email, contacts, photos, location, or anything else on your phone.

The hand goes from the app to our coaching server, which passes it to OpenAI and returns the read. Our server doesn't keep a copy of the hand. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API isn't used to train their models and is kept for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never see your card or Apple Account details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a random identifier made by the app and the purchase record Apple provides, not your name or email.

Usage events

To see where people get stuck, the app sends short event records to suitedfours.com: the name of a step (for example, "first hand dealt" or "paywall viewed"), when it happened, and a few answers you gave inside the app, like the blinds you play or the plan you picked. Dollar estimates are sent only as a rough range. Each record carries a random identifier, the same one RevenueCat uses when purchases are active. Events don't include your name, email, hands, contacts, location, or your device's advertising identifier, and the app doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Tables with friends

A friends' table, in the app or on the web, runs on our server so everyone at it sees the same cards. The server holds that table's hands and the names players chose while the table is open, and shows each player's name to the others at it.

Notifications

Game-night reminders and the renewal heads-up are scheduled on your phone. The nights and time you pick aren't sent to us.

Feedback

If you send a note from Settings, we receive the text you wrote, the app version, and your device model and iOS version.

The web game at suitedfours.com

• Your browser keeps a random identifier so your hand history and record follow you between visits. We store those hands against that identifier.
• Signing in is optional. If you do, we store your email address to send sign-in codes and to attach your record to it.
• We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal data. We also record which steps a visitor reached (arrived, sat down, played a hand) against the browser's random identifier.
• Notes sent through the feedback form are stored with the text, the page, your browser type, and your email if you gave it.
• Feedback sent from the app can include diagnostics: the app's recent activity log and any freeze or crash reports from your phone, with your name and email addresses removed. You can turn this off with the "Include diagnostics" switch before sending.

The app waitlist

Until the iPhone app is out, the web game and shared hand pages ask if you want to hear when it launches. If you leave your email, we send one mail with a link to confirm it. The address only goes on the list once you tap that link. If you never do, we delete it after 14 days.

With the address we keep the date you left it, the date you confirmed it, which part of the site you left it on, your browser's random identifier if it has one, when you last entered it, and how many times you've entered it. To stop our form being used to send mail to other people, we also count confirmation mails per sending network for an hour at a time. That count is kept under a scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself, and deleted after the hour.

To take your email off the list, send a note from the feedback form on suitedfours.com (under You) with the address, and we'll delete it.

Things every request carries

Any request to our servers includes your IP address, the way all internet traffic does. We use it only to rate-limit abuse and don't store it with your events or hands. Our servers run on Cloudflare.

Who we share with

Only the services named above, only for the reasons named above: OpenAI for coaching you turned on, RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions, Cloudflare to run our servers, and Plausible for web visit counts. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting

• App data on your phone: deleted when you delete the app.
• Usage events: kept in aggregate as daily counts. Individual event records are kept on a rolling basis and the oldest are deleted as new ones arrive.
• Web account: you can ask us to delete your record and email at any time.
• Waitlist email: kept until you ask us to delete it. One that's never confirmed is deleted after 14 days.

To ask for a copy of what we hold or for deletion, send a note from Settings in the app, or from the feedback form on suitedfours.com, and include how to reach you. We'll reply and act on it.

Children

Suited Fours isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us through the feedback form and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what leaves your phone, the app will tell you before it takes effect.
